No, not the Brokeback Mountain kind, but the type shared between a father and son or close friends, like the biblical David and Jonathan. It is a strange feeling that whatever is happening [or not] at a particular shared moment is somehow an ordained gift from God, shared between two or more men at a particular happening.
I say "happening," because unlike woman love, which requires an exchange of verbal feeling, man love requires no verbalization of feeling whatsoever, but an act of non-verbal doing. Men share an experience, and it is these experiences themselves that act as catalysts for those sublime moments. And these events can really be anything, a quiet walk down the sacred aisles at Lowe's or Home Depot, [a personal favorite of my father and mine] sharing tea and biscuits in a cold studio during a British January, watching Star Wars on a homemade 11ft. screen or sawing on a massive stump in the pouring Indiana rain.
Having a well-developed feminine side, I can probably express these feelings better than most men [or at least acknowledge that I have them]. There are moments when I can pause and look at the event happening before me and realize that I am experiencing a moment of man love, where two or more fraternal or paternal souls are harmonizing with each other and sharing on an intimate level a piece of themselves. Of course, no man would mention that any of this is happening at the time. [or probably that it has ever happened] It is not what we men do. We store these moments to be used later… a brighter smile at first sight after a long absence, a harder pat on the shoulder when greeting friends, and a longer, more firm hug when saying goodbye.
Man Love; If you don't have it, find a way to get it! And the best way to get man love is the best way to get any true, worthwhile type of love… GIVE IT! [but I wouldn't put "Man-Love" on the invite or even mention it unless referencing this blog post] It's not very macho sounding and it would make your guy friends feel weird around you. [Hey Guys!]
Live long and prosper!

I love you too man!!!!
Thanks for the info on man love. Is anybody else in the mood to watch some pro wrasslin right now?
I don't do "wrasslin." Nor do I watch it, but I do engage in the occasional lightsabre smack down with blacklights and sound effects. It is very manly!!!
Oh, and by the way Chris, I love you too, MAN!
